Blender crash on startup after upgrade to mesa 8.0.1
Detailed description
We are trying to find out who is troublemaker here arch, mesa or blender?

Long story short: After upgrade to mesa 8.0.1 Blender don't start with this error:

blender: swrast/s_span.c:1327: _swrast_write_rgba_span: Assertion `colorType == 0x1401 || colorType == 0x1406' failed.

  • yep, its a mesa bug attached a patch which resovles the crash but icons dont draw (attached to arch report).

    closing this report. this needs to be fixed in mesa,
