Render Crash "Failed to Read"
Detailed description
Hi, Blender seems to be crashing during render in Cycles. Blender will render one or two frames successfully, they suddenly crash. It does not occur on any specific frame, I might set it to render 100-300, it will do 100,101, and crash on 102, then reopen Blender and resume the render, and it will render 102, then crash on 103, etc.

I notice that memory usage does get pretty high, like 7GB out of 8GB.

Here is the Terminal output from one of the crashes:

skipping existing frame "/home/b99/Blender/pineapples/render/prev_forest11_thepineapplereturns/0510.png"

  • Never mind, forgot that this was on a modified build. Sorry!

  • If issue can not be reproduced with official builds from site, buildbot or semi-official builds from grphicall it's not considered a bug. As i understand this particular report is exactly one of such cases which was already figured out.
