Summary:
Blenderplayer quad-buffer maximum 100Hz Fps
Detailed description
The blenderplayer runs in quad-buffer (-s hwpageflip) always at 100Hz frame rate.
Setting the fullscreen frame rate in -f 1024 768 32 120 to 120Hz has no effect.
Also setting the refresh rate and the physic frame rate to 120Hz has no effect.
Changing vsync (graphic card) and use frame rate has no effect.

  • This is actually not a problem with quad-buffer. The Blenderplayer always maxes out at 100fps due to waiting for paint events from Ghost. I have a fix for this, but I need to clean it up and separate some headless code from it.

  • As of r49998 the Blenderplayer can go above 100fps. Does this solve your problem?

  • That fix the problem. Thank you.
It also fix the related problem when you the game engine runtime export with enable quad-buffer
[#29610] Quad-Buffer stereo in Game Engine Runtime doesn't works !

and the quad-buffer related problem with
[#32360] Standalone Player switches not working http://projects.blender.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=32361&group_id=9&atid=306.

But there is now a new funny bug. When I start the player with the native monitor resolution -of 1920x1200 32 120 quad-buffer is working.
When I try to run in fullscreen with lower resolution -of 1920x1080 32 120 quad-buffer won't start.
    If I start with -f 1920 1080 32 90 quad-buffer first starting first with with 63-65Hz after 15s it jumps to 120Hz.
I don't know if that is a bug or it depends on the monitor (not a real 3D 12Hhz monitor) which is I forced to 120Hz.
I can test it in two weeks with a real 120Hz monitor.
