Crash 2.64 RC1 x 2.63a
Detailed description
Hello!

When I render a complex scene in release 2.63a it's fine.
However, when I render the same scene at 2.64 version in GPU mode it's crash.
I'm use Nvidia Quadro 2000, windows 7 64 bits and 8 GB ram and core i7 2600k.

I think that's problem have relation to BVH.

Thanks,

  • Can you monitor the amount of GPU memory that is being used (with GPU-Z for example).

The file renders fine for me (GT540) but I have 2GB of GPU memory.

  • Also renders fine here (Geforce 540GM) but it may be related to the fact that no textures are attached.

  • Interesting ... when render my animation with GPU-Z on I have no problems.
Well, I'll do some more tests here. Maybe changing the resolution of textures.

    I use QUADRO 2000D with 1GB.

Both 2.63 and 2.64 consume 725 MB peak by GPU-Z.

    Thanks.

  • Any updates here? Otherwise I consider this bug related to only 1GB of VRAM.
Cycles got some updates since 2.63, possible it needs a bit more RAM than before.
