    I noticed Volume feature was marked WIP in our wiki todo, is this for the list there to tackle later?

  • Fix is in SVN. It's not a perfect fix, for this file it does the right thing, but other files may have slightly different behaviour. Best compromise for the time being and I don't want to spend any more time fighting with this tangled render code.

    Note: Any internal objects are assumed to be hollow, so a shadow ray that passes through an internal hollow object won't be blocked by as much volume inside, and therefore will case a lighter shadow than surrounding areas where shadow ray paths have to travel through the entire width of volume.
