Detailed description

A dupli-verted object is in layerX and is in a group which displays layerX, if that group is linked into a scene on layerY the dupli's are not displayed. However, if it is linked into a scene on layerX it is displayed.

Instructions for attachment:
The file duplivert_linked_in_different_layer_error.blend shows the error, where there are no dupli's displayed. Notice how the object is on layer11.

The file duplivert_linked_in_correct_layer.blend shows the dupli's are displayed. Notice the object is on layer1

The file duplivert_bug_to_be_linked.blend is the scene with the object and 'foo_group' group. The group is set to display on layer1.

Report confirmed: linking in a group which has a duplicator inside has problems with layers. Probably depsgraph related, or related to bad recursion in duplicators.

Currently there is no developer available who can tackle this... we'll try to find someone!

This problem also occurs with dupligroups nested within dupligroups aswell.

A set of objects are combined in a group (all on layerX) and instances of this group are then combined into a larger group (all on layer X). In a new file a link is made to the larger group and an instance created on layer Y. The objects in the larger group will display but the objects in the smaller sub groups will not display unless the instance is moved to layer Y.

Fix committed, the duplicated group looks identical in both files now. The code is quite delicate, so hopefully I didn't break anything new.
