Hair Dynamics Problem
Detailed description
Hey there..
there is one Problem with the hairdynamics system.
All hairparticles, that are manually with the brush added on my mesh do not work properly with the hair dynamics.
I have added stiffness to the hair, but only that hair that has been generatet with the emission amount is affected by this. The hair I've added via brush is not.

It seems that the hair particles don't have any weight settings.

I have added a blendfile where this behavior occurs. left side particles are added with the brush and the right side is added via essision amount.
Just start the animation.

greetings Andreas

  • Great report, led me straight to the cause, and yes like you thought the added particles didn't have any weights calculated for them. I just committed a fix that will copy the weights of the nearest hair or add default weights to any added hairs.
