svn r32890, Ubuntu 10.04, 32bit, gcc 4.4.3, but happens also with "official" 2.54.0, not visible with 2.49b.
While playing with DOF, I found some strange effects with texture mapping to normals. I've attached a stripped down .blend (no more DOF or compositing involved), just a plane and a lamp. When anti-aliasing is on, the normal mapping from the noisified wood texture onto the plane shows the following effects (see sample image snippet):
a) The normal mapping influence is much larger than without AA, it seems also to be no linear mapping.
b) Small quad breaks are visible in the texture in regular intervals, although the plane is not subdivided etc.
c) Large smoothed strip goes through the whole plane (clearly visible in frame 250 and 122), alignment seems similar to the breaks in b)
None of these effects are visible when AA is off.
Don't know if this has been already reported, a working search would help ;)

stucci texture is altogether broken... just basic cube blend already shows it (attachment).
According logs Brecht worked on normal mapping as last, maybe he recalls this one?

Ton, this isnt related to stucci, it happems with Clouds, Noise, Magic too.
