Detailed description

If I open with Blender 2.55 a Blender 2.49 file containing the Node Editor window, in the console window appears the message: Error, region type missing in - name:"Node", id:16.

To reproduce the problem:

-Open Blender 2.49
-Change the window type of the the 3D Viewport to Node Editor
-Save the .blend file and close Blender 2.49
-Open the .blend file with Blender 2.55. In the console window will appear the error.

The file attached is a .blend file created in Blender 2.49c. Opening it with blender 2.55 will make the error occur.

I used Blender 2.49c to create the .blend file, and tryed to open it with Blender 2.55 and Blender 2.55 SVN r33045. The problem occurs in both of them.

I reproduced the problem on three computers:

Computer 1

CPU: Intel Pentium D 3.40 GHz
RAM: 2,0 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT
OS: MS Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit SP2

Computer 2

CPU: Intel Core2 Duo E8335 2.66 GHz
RAM: 4,0 GB
GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT
OS: MS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit

Computer 3

CPU: Intel Core2 T7200 2.00 GHz
RAM: 1,5 GB
GPU: Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family
OS: MS Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit SP2

Did you try with load UI option disabled ?

I'm also able to open the file, what I'm reporting is the error message which appears in the Console Window:

Error, region type missing in - name:"Node", id:16

It also appears with "load UI" disabled and with Blender 2.55 SVN r33176. I don't know what it means, maybe there's a loading error not immediately visible to the user?

Same error, here.
Editor Type icon is wrong for Node Editor.
It is replaced by File Browser icon.

Both issues fixed. Was not dangerous though, but annoying. :)
