Detailed description

renaming a UV channel name does not update texture uv channel mapping settings

with the default cube add a UV channel
add a blank material
add a texture mapped to the UV channel created earlier
rename the UV channel in the UV Texture section of the Object Data part of the Properties Editor.
flip back to the texture channel - note the name has not updated and so renders might be broken as if they point to an invalid texture channel.

tested in current SVN build as of this morning.

Ehm... I'm not sure if you want this even? It works similar as in 2.4x, although in 2.4x the button then showed a red color warning. The problem is that such texture channels in Materials can be used for many different Mesh objects. Automatically changing names in Materials when you rename Mesh texture channels can potentially give bad conflicts.

For me it's a topic to investigate, but since it's similarly working in Blender already since the beginning, I rather stick to the old convention. Adding a warning in texture buttons is then still something to add. Will check on it.

Added back 2.4 feature that shows red-alert color warning for invalid names. That all I can do now!
