in User preferences > File > Image Editor > //..\..\..\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\bin\gimp-2.6.exe , in Windows 7

next, in Texture paint> Project Paint> (Quick Edit) ...not working

and save on desktop my image and did not open them Gimp.

  • The // prefix should not be used for application names, this was reported as a bug and has since been fixed but youll need to set the application path so it does not start with //, after this could you try again?

  • yes, I wrote by hand, manually and is work :D
    C:\Users\Toto\AppData\Local\Temp\
    ,but chosing in Open a File Browser automatically executable is a real Bug, because is appears: //..\..\..\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\bin\gimp-2.6.exe instead of C:\Users\Toto\AppData\Local\Temp\ anyway I not think to write a manual:))

  • This is because the relative button used to be enabled by default.
    this has been fixed in svn for over a week so a recent build will work when selecting an executable now.
