3D text glitch and crash

r33305 @ linux64

3D text in edit mode appears to use its very own buffer for copy/paste,
which makes it difficult to get text in there without re-typing.

the only alternate method I found, pasting to the text-editor and create an object from there, crashed -> http://www.pasteall.org/17113

Text menu is missing in View3D 's header in edit mode.
So Paste from File is no more available.

Every time you press a character, in the last operator region, you can change settings of Insert Text operator.

In the place, you can paste a text from unexclusive buffer.

3d view issue was fixed in 33310. Text menu in edit mode was restored in 33315.
Still unable to reproduce crash.

Crash fixed in svn rev33343.

Note: i was able to reproduce crash only when copy-pasteing from gedit, no crash if i've used scite or open file in blender's text editor. Looks like gedit gives invalid utf8 sequence which can;t be handled correct here -- invalid characters would be replaced with '?'. There could be some kind of charset autodetection in the future which could help to prevent this annoying situation. For now, just use scite or open file in blender's editor.

Looks like there is nothing to do in this issue, so closing.
