- My testing wasn't sufficient enough.
The freezing happens with a lot more properties windows:
- World
- Object Data (for a mesh)
- Material
The moving+closing the render window remain the last steps for the freezing to occur

- But, is rendering in progress when you do this? At the moment you can't close that window while render goes on.
There's also graphics card problems reported for closing render windows in general. What config you have? And can you redo an other systems too?

Blender freezes, I try to move the view on 3d View and nothing happens, but after I had pressed F11 the 3D View is changed (refresh problem?)

pretty much like VB says.
Moving the Render window before closing it, with certain Properties open (World, Material), locks Blender. F11 fixes it.
No rendering happening. Default Blender with Display to 'New Window'.

- Think we should block using the interface, rendering preview materials etc while rendering or we will keep getting reports like this - just allow navigating in the render window.
It was disabled for durian because we got too many crashes, so unless this is properly supported I dont see any advantage in allowing this unstable operation.

This does NOT happen during rendering. But right after closing the Render window, after moving it only slightly.
It even happens with an empty Render window (pressing F11 without anything previously rendered).

- Well then it also crashes if you open a 2nd window? Try user preferences, or duplicate the window...

Thanks for the video, this is not a "freeze"... blender keeps running, but it stops drawing in the main window.
This bug has been reported already, and is open on our list. Sofar no solution has been found, it is somewhere deep down in the low level code.\
For OSX and Linux and goes fine, also for several Windows systems.
