Summary:
gamma problem using python render commands
Detailed description
I have made this thread on blenderartists where people told me to submit this problem as bug...
http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=203016
The bug seems to be in my second problem in this thread:

When, in my script, I call the bpy.ops.render.render() command, the rendering result is darker then a 'F12' rendering (gamma problem I guess).
People can reproduce using my script on the default startup scene.(tested on Blender 2.55 windows current build python 3) =>the saved file in the output folder is different then an F12 rendering.

So this is my first bug, don't burn me if I did it wrong...I tried to find similar issues without success.

Hope it can help...

  • It would help if you follow our bug report guidelines...
    - always attach a sample file here
    - reduce your example to the absolute simplest case that shows an error
(for example, is just a render command + save command sufficient?)

I don't know the py api well, but i noticed you save a 'render result' which is in linear color space by default. Save a PNG or so to compare.
Similar saved files you would get on simple F3 save render-result. When you load this back in Blender it shows corrected OK.
