Summary:
Leaving Texture Paint mode in UV editor after cloning leaves image overlay visible.
Detailed description
Open Blender, add a new UV image, enter texture paint (in the UV editor) and then select a clone image. It's overlayed on the UV viewport. Now turn off texture paint. The image remains, but you can't move it or hide it.

Or is this a feature?

Also, r33594, but this has been around for quite some time.

    bug confirmed.
When you turn off painting or change brush, expected behavior is to see clone image disappear .
