Summary:
Camera does not appear selected in outliner when it is
Detailed description
r34810
Ubuntu 10.04
When selecting a camera in the outliner (selecting the icon on the right, not the orange one), there is no white circle that appears around it to show that it is selected.
If I select a lamp or a mesh or a metaball (again, this is the icon on the right, which is usually b/w instead of the orange one), a little white circle highlights which object I selected, however when I try to do this for the camera, no highlight appears.

It's not actually bug. Icons from the right represents object data, not object itself. Object data could be highlighted in different cases: for meshes it's higlighted when object is in edit mode, for lamps -- when lamp is active object.
Discussed with Campbell and we decided to highlight camera data for active scene camera. It should be more useful for artists. Also, we decided that setting active camera by click on this icon isn't good idea because artists could easily change camera by single click and not notice this if there's no camera view.
New behavior commited to svn rev34815.
Thanks for report!
