Open Recent function no longer working correctly
Detailed description
The function "Open Recent" no longer shows the file name of the work one has recently saved.

The open recent field is shows a blank for each file name.

Blender version: 2.56 r34812
Windows XP Pro 32-bit SP3
Intel Q9450 4gig RAM
NVidia GeForce 9600GT (driver 6.14.12.5721)

    You might have a glitch caused by a commit that got fixed immediate after?

  • Neither version (34812 or 34826) is giving correct results for the "Open Recent" function on my system.

    I'm going to try uninstalling all Blender 2.5 elements and reinstalling.

    I can see this issue too, with the above configuration; it has popped up in the last couple of days.

    On SVN 34827, after loading a file the entry "Us" appears in the FILE->OPEN RECENT... menu (see open_recent_1.png) for each successive file loaded. FILE -> OPEN defaults to / regardless of the directory used for previous file loads (open_recent_2.png).

    Following on from the above, if I close SVN 34827, open a file with 2.56a official release, close 2.56a official and reopen SVN 34827, that most recently opened file is correctly shown in the FILE->OPEN RECENT... menu (open_recent_3.png).

  • I tried the same routine as Alan Taylor.

    I downloaded and ran the last official build of Blender 2.56a (r34706). That version correctly keeps track of recent files opened.

    The latest versions on my system do not correctly keep track of recently opened files.

  • Yes, the code was copying the string with 1 character missing. Fix in svn!
