Hi, I can remember reporting the same bug years ago.
In the node editor, nodes have icons for collapsing unused inputs, collapsing the entire node etc. I find it very hard to click in the right spot, because the regions, which triggers the action, doesn't line up well with the displayed icons. This also changes depending on the zoom level.
The issue is so severe, that I don't manage to use this without getting instantly annoyed. Also the most right button sticks out of the window on some zoom levels.
Tried on current trunk.

I have no problem with this, not in 2.56 release nor in svn trunk.
Please provide evidence with a .blend file, tested with official release in factory settings. Investigating it on another system might help too, maybe there's a drawing error putting icons on the wrong place?

It looks like a drawing error and that the icons are just in the wrong place, yes. At least for single nodes. The problem seems to be more severe for group nodes it. The 'click' area there seems to be off by one button. See attached screenshot, that also the drawing of the icons isn't correct.

Confirmed, the error was especially for nodes without preview images.
Fix in svn! Thanks.
