  • Works fine here... I change color with the 'swatch' that pops up a colorpicker. Then press M 2
This might fail if you have undo disabled? Maybe it's glsl though... i have s/w glsl working ok for this case.

  • Segey found it, he said he pressed ESC to close the colorpicker.
This 'cancels' a menu, and doesn't set an undo... that's ok, but the colorpicker still keeps the color. Conflict in design here... needs more thinking.

  • it's not about changing properties OF a material..
    it's about changing from e.g. material1 to material2.

I should have picked better wording here.. sorry.
    could you please retry?

  • Confirmed here, I've attached a .blend file, you can follow these steps:

    1. once opened the file you'll see the cube selected
    2. just clic on material selector icon with tooltip "Browse material to be linked" and select another material, example the red one of the sphere
    3. move the cube to another level with M and let say 5
    4. turn on level 5 and you'll see the cube has the first default material assigned, not the red one you just changed

  • Confirmed, but only when the material is applied in object mode. When switching to edit mode and assigning the material there, this bug does not occur.

  • Fix in svn.

It was for all uses of menus to browse "ID" data, also textures, brushes, images, etc.
Good fix to have, thanks for the report!
