Summary:
In render view, Blender crashes when collapsing an opened split render pane if you have the histogram tab open in the pane your collapsing.

Detailed description

1) Render your scene
2) Open the histogram toolbar in the image view
3) Split the image view in two by dragging from the top right corner
4) Drag the newly created left image view to the right to collapse it, which results in the crash.

I know videos are not encouraged in the bug tracker, but these are very short and explain exactly the 4 steps to the crash above:
