Summary:
Particles Can Only Address first 16 Material Indexes
Detailed description
The limit on number of materials per mesh has been raised but the Particles Settings can only address the first 16 of them.

Tested in official Linux release "blender-2.56a-beta-linux-glibc27-x86_64" and in r35968.

Create a particle system for the default cube.

Go to the Render sub-panel of the Particles panel and attempt to spin past 16 in the material index selector (or directly type in a number > 16).

  • I just found out about blender-2.57-RC1a-r35899-linux-glibc27-x86_64 and have tested that.
    Same problem.

  • Should be a simple fix for Janne!

  • Fix committed in r35996, thanks for the report! The maximum value in ui simply hadn't been updated when the maximum amount of materials was increased.
