Boolean op stack overflow
Detailed description
Windows 7 64 / NVidia GT 330M

Blender 2.56.0 r34076

Hello,

The crash is produced by the following steps :

1- Open Blender and delete the default cube
3- Add a UV Sphere
4- Add a subsurf modifier (default values) and apply it
5- Duplicate the sphere (Sphere.001)
6- Move z Sphere.001 of 5 units (50 cm)
7- Select the original Sphere again
8- Add a boolean modifier
9- Select Sphere.001 as operation object

The attached .blend file is just before step 9.

Hope this can help

Regards

Christian

  • By the way, i had a problem today working with local orientation in 3D view : blender crashed. But unfortunately (i am a newby), i am not able to give you any blender file (unable to recover my one hour work)...

    For your info :
    - blender version : 2.57 (link you gave me before)
    - playing with extrusion and simple translation (the object was, at the begining, a simple plane)
    - the object i was modeling had a mirror modifier

Sorry because i cannot give you more information...

    Best regards

    Christian
