In my project, I use rigify limbs for dogs and cats and horses, it works well. And sadly, cloudrig does not provide such bone set.
I can see the convenience to make cloudrig a standalone add-on in blender 4.0, but I wish there is a way to mix cloudrig and origin rigify. It would help my project.
Please consider it.

Hi. I did consider it, but trying to stay compatible with Rigify was a headache even when first making CloudRig, and it only became less and less possible as CloudRig diverged in its design. Rigify cross-compatibility is now completely dropped.

The proper (and easier) way to resolve this would indeed be for me to implement similar component types in CloudRig that work well for the animals you mentioned. It's not the first time I hear a request for this, so I am considering it.
