Since we use the rigid body transform when transforming rigid bodies
things like parents and constraints add an offset because rigid body
transforms are in global space.
Now we just don't take rigid body transform into account on simulation
start frame so there are no problems when doing the initial setup.
The problem still exists when simulation is running of course.
To properly fix this we'd have to solve parenting and constratins while
taking rigid bodies into account before and after transform.
We'll have to see if it's really needed, would like to avoid it though.
- without python builds without warnings.
- replace MAXFLOAT -> FLT_MAX in some areas, MAXFLOAT overflows (lager then float range).
- add cmake option WITH_GCC_MUDFLAP to enable libmudflap use.
All modes:
-----------
Shift-S sets smooth stroke mode
Texture Paint/Vertex Paint:
----------------------------
R springs brush rotation control menu
Ctrl-F sets brush user rotation
Vertex paint mode was getting transform events with R, made sure no
transform events are handled for paint modes.
besides performance in some cases.
* DAG_scene_sort is now removed and replaced by DAG_relations_tag_update in
most cases. This will clear the dependency graph, and only rebuild it right
before it's needed again when the scene is re-evaluated.
This is done because DAG_scene_sort is slow when called many times from
python operators. Further the scene argument is not needed because most
operations can potentially affect more than the current scene.
* DAG_scene_relations_update will now rebuild the dependency graph if it's not
there yet, and DAG_scene_relations_rebuild will force a rebuild for the rare
cases that need it.
* Remove various places where ob->recalc was set manually. This should go
through DAG_id_tag_update() in nearly all cases instead since this is now
a fast operation. Also removed DAG_ids_flush_update that goes along with
such manual tagging of ob->recalc.
This allows moving rigid bodies on frame > startframe.
Also rigid bodies can now be picked up and trown around while the
simulation is running.
Note: There is a small glitch with cancelling tansform during simulation
but it's tricky to get rid of.
TODO: Avoid static-static collision warnings
- add sequence.update(data=False) function.
- made some sequence vars editable.
- correct some comments.
also rename rna function sequence.getStripElem() --> strip_elem_from_frame()
impossible. In this case matrix inversion failed and didn't give a useful result.
Now it falls back to a pseudoinverse in that case, so that moving along the
other axes still works.
There may be other places that can benefit from this, but this is a place where
it has no significant performance impact, doing this in general for e.g. bone
matrices could be quite slow.
Nice formatted version (pictures soon):
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Ref/Release_Notes/2.66/Usability
Short list of main changes:
- Transparent region option (over main region), added code to blend in/out such panels.
- Min size window now 640 x 480
- Fixed DPI for ui - lots of cleanup and changes everywhere. Icon image need correct size still, layer-in-use icon needs remake.
- Macbook retina support, use command line --no-native-pixels to disable it
- Timeline Marker label was drawing wrong
- Trackpad and magic mouse: supports zoom (hold ctrl)
- Fix for splash position: removed ghost function and made window size update after creation immediate
- Fast undo buffer save now adds UI as well. Could be checked for regular file save even...
Quit.blend and temp file saving use this now.
- Dixed filename in window on reading quit.blend or temp saves, and they now add a warning in window title: "(Recovered)"
- New Userpref option "Keep Session" - this always saves quit.blend, and loads on start.
This allows keeping UI and data without actual saves, until you actually save.
When you load startup.blend and quit, it recognises the quit.blend as a startup (no file name in header)
- Added 3D view copy/paste buffers (selected objects). Shortcuts ctrl-c, ctrl-v (OSX, cmd-c, cmd-v).
Coded partial file saving for it. Could be used for other purposes. Todo: use OS clipboards.
- User preferences (themes, keymaps, user settings) now can be saved as a separate file.
Old option is called "Save Startup File" the new one "Save User Settings".
To visualise this difference, the 'save startup file' button has been removed from user preferences window. That option is available as CTRL+U and in File menu still.
- OSX: fixed bug that stopped giving mouse events outside window.
This also fixes "Continuous Grab" for OSX. (error since 2009)
not exactly a bug - zero area faces from a cancelled extrude gave issues - but this is a common use case, so make it work by only using selected faces when calculating the vertex shell thickness.
Set T_ALT_TRANSFORM flag event handling function rather than accessing
window manager form flushing sequencer transform data.
Visual feedback about what exactly will happen on placing strip between
two other strips could be also improved.
- Disabled "Quick Cache" option. It was causing ridiculous updates
on the entire animation system for start-end frame on every user
event causing changes here (like during transform). Worst was that you
couldn't transform animated objects for that reason either.
Most of the code is still there, waiting for a moment to revise it...
- Constraint "Follow Track" (marker) wasn't using inverse matrix code
in transform, making it wacko to use (wrong pivot, crazyspace)
