(userpref->system), with a great help from brecht (its been way too long
for me).
However as brecht pointed out that the non-AA text is slightly lareger
then AA'ed Text :S, i did not do anything about this as this commit was
just the option not the text drawing.
this commit also makes it possible to do all kinds of UI textrender options
- remove scons option WITH_BF_FHS, its not needed anymore.
- comment WITH_BF_DOCS, was using epydocs which we dont use now.
- blenderlite target was broken, always using openmp.
- building without python wasnt working.
- fixed some warnings.
Supports default OSX codecs : Linear PCM, Apple Lossless and AAC
Note that AAC codec doesn't support sample rates above 48kHz. If a python/rna guru knows how to easily enforce this limit, he is welcome!
Enjoy making Quicktime movies now with audio!
replaces another so it can do updates (e.g. dopesheet editor can
sync channel selection).
Also coded a simple optimization for allocating small objects,
based on mempools. It's #ifdef'd out, you can enabled it by
defining OPTIMIZE_SMALL_BLOCKS (e.g. adding -DDOPTIMIZE_SMALL_BLOCKS to
your compiler flags).
We suffer from a great deal of performance loss from the system allocator
(vgroups, ghash, edgehash, the singly-linked list implementation in blenlib,
editmesh, and likely a great many areas I'm forgetting), and this is the
common solution for handling the many-small-objects problem. It's not
really production-ready yet (it's long-term memory consequencers need to
be profiled first, and the implementation tweaked as necassary), but for
people on systems with slow system allocators it's worth trying.
Note that since this creates a guardedalloc<->blenlib link, the build systems
need to be updated accordingly (I've already done this for scons, though I'm
not sure if the player builds).
- added "QuicktimeCodecSettings" struct in DNA
- old "QuicktimeCodecData" opaque struct is nowdeprecated (read only use when QuicktimeCodecSettings is not set)
- fixed small bug when importing deep color movies
Note that you may need Final Cut Pro installed to be able to use the DVCPRO HD codecs
Since bli_threads.h now includes pthreads directly, we need to had instructions in SConscripts everywhere for proper include path.
Frankly, I feel like this should be done in a global manner and not in a per lib fashion, but that is for another day.
This commit also fixes more missing properties
Multidim. arrays can now be modified at any level, for example:
struc.arrayprop = x
struc.arrayprop[i] = x
struc.arrayprop[i][j] = x
struc.arrayprop[i][j][k] = x
etc...
Approriate rvalue type/length checking is done.
To ensure all works correctly, I wrote automated tests in release/test/rna_array.py.
These tests cover: array/item access, assignment on different levels, tests that proper exceptions are thrown on invalid item access/assignment.
The tests use properties of the RNA Test struct defined in rna_test.c. This struct is only compiled when building with BF_UNIT_TEST=1 scons arg.
Currently unit tests are run manually by loading the script in the Text Editor.
Here's the output I have: http://www.pasteall.org/7644
Things to improve here:
- better exception messages when multidim. array assignment fails. Those we have currently are not very useful for multidim.
- add tests for slice assignment
* makesrna and makesdna now use CFLAGS, CCFLAGS and Linking flags as specified in config.
This might help with cross-compile on OSX 10.6 (32bit on 64bit). devroo & jensverwiebe, please test and report.
* Updated UserDef RNA so that only compiled in audio drivers are displayed. (Missing definitions in Makefiles, someone fix please!)
* Fixed libsndfile and ffmpeg building with CMake with msvc.
An engine to use for output can now be selected an influences what
shows in the buttons window, only showing relevant data. The idea
behind this is to make it more clear what is supported where, make
the system more pluggable for external render/game engines, and save
space hiding stuff that is not relevant anyway.
* Top header now has an engine menu, to choose between the blender
render engine, game engine, and other future external engines.
* If the game engine is enabled, the buttons window should show
only properties that work in the game engine, and similarly for
the render engine.
* Moved panels from the logic space and game tabs to the physics,
scene and world tabs instead, and removed the game tab.
* Materials and textures tabs should eventually become game
specific too, to better show what is supported.
* ensure all SConscripts are ready for win64-vc (where necessary).
* ensure we have proper _DEBUG flag for Python when we're doing a debug build.
* some cleaning up of linking etc.
* ensure /EHsc is there for game engine modules.
* UI layout for scene buttons has quite some changes, I tried to
better organize things according to the pipeline, and also showing
important properties by default, and collapsing less important ones.
Some changes compared to 2.4x:
* Panorama is now a Camera property.
* Sequence and Compositing are now enabled by default, but will only
do something when there is a node tree using nodes, or a strip in the
sequence editor.
* Enabling Full Sample now automatically enables Save Buffers too.
* Stamp option to include info in file is removed, it now simply always
does this if one of the stamp infos is enabled.
* Xvid, H.264 and Ogg Theora are now directly in the file format menu,
but still using FFMPEG. Unfortunately Ogg is broken at the moment
(also in 2.4x), so that's disabled. And Xvid crashes on 64bit linux,
maybe solvable by upgrading extern/xvidcore/, using ubuntu libs makes
it work.
* Organized file format menu by image/movie types.
Added:
* Render layers RNA wrapped, operatorized, layouted.
* FFMPEG format/codec options are now working.
Defaults changed:
* Compositing & Sequencer enabled.
* Tiles set to 8x8.
* Time/Date/Frame/Scene/Camera/Filename enabled for stamp.
Merging changes made by Arystanbek in the soc-2009-kazanbas branch,
plus some things modified and added by me.
* The API files now all in the makesrna module, convention is to
call them e.g. rna_mesh_api.c for rna_mesh.c. Note for visual
studio build maintainers, the rna_*_api.c files are compiled as
part of "makesrna", but do not have rna_*_gen.c generated as part
of the library. SCons/cmake/make were updated.
* Added function flags FUNC_USE_CONTEXT and FUNC_USE_REPORTS, to
allow RNA functions to get context and error reporting parameters
optionally. Renamed FUNC_TYPESTATIC to FUNC_NO_SELF.
* RNA collections now have a pointer to add/remove FunctionRNA's, this
isn't actually used anywhere yet, purpose is to make an alias
main.meshes.add() for main.add_mesh() in python.
* Fixes to make autogenerating property set/get for multidimensional
arrays work, though a 4x4 matrix will be exposed as a length 16
one dimensional RNA array.
* Functions and properties added:
* Main.add_mesh()
* Main.remove_mesh()
* Object.matrix
* Object.create_render_mesh()
* WindowManager.add_fileselect()
* Added icon to property and enum property items. The latter is
responsible for the large number of files changed.
* For RNA functions, added PROP_RNAPTR flag to ask for a PointerRNA
as argument instead of a C pointer, instead of doing it implicitly
with the AnyType type.
* Material: properly wrap diffuse/specular param variables, and
rename some things for consistency.
* MaterialTextureSlot: added "enabled" property (ma->septex).
* Image: make animated property editable.
* Image Editor: make some things editable, notifiers, respect state.
* Context: fix issue with screen not being set as ID.
