a993600323 BMesh: support for comparing loops when calculating face-groups
Add an optional callback to check source/destination loops for
BM_mesh_calc_face_groups.

This is needed so it can be used to calculate UV islands.

11509c14c3 Fix T75588: Missing loop cuts preview for edges without quads
The preview of points was only done when the edge is wire.

Now the preview of points is done when the edge is not connected to any
quad.

Also to avoid edge slide in this case, all new vertices created in this
specific case are not selected.

91694b9b58 Code Style: use "#pragma once" in source directory
This replaces header include guards with `#pragma once`.
A couple of include guards are not removed yet (e.g. `__RNA_TYPES_H__`),
because they are used in other places.

This patch has been generated by P1561 followed by `make format`.

deaff945d0 Mesh: skip conversion from edit-mesh to mesh in edit-mode
This resolves a performance regression in 2.8x where every edit-mode
update performed an edit-mesh to mesh conversion.

Now the conversion will be lazily initialized if/when it's required.

New BKE_mesh_wrapper_* functions abstract over mesh data access.
Currently only edit-mesh and regular meshes are supported.
In the future sub-surface meshes may be supported too.

cdbb61704d Fix T75128: Select Linked fails when the selection is a delimiter
Starting select linked failed when the selected vertex or edge
was it's self delimiting.

Support using these elements for linked select
as long as they're part of an isolated selection.

71538eaad6 Fix T70864: Separate loose parts runs indefinitely
Large objects with many separate pieces became unstably slow
(run for hours and not finish).

The entire original mesh was being duplicated twice per loose part.

In own tests, millions of vertices and thousands of loose parts
now run in around 5-15 seconds.

65ec7ec524 Cleanup: remove redundant, invalid info from headers
BF-admins agree to remove header information that isn't useful,
to reduce noise.

- BEGIN/END license blocks

  Developers should add non license comments as separate comment blocks.
  No need for separator text.

- Contributors

  This is often invalid, outdated or misleading
  especially when splitting files.

  It's more useful to git-blame to find out who has developed the code.

See P901 for script to perform these edits.

0feeea1bd5 BMesh: avoid incorrect/invalid matrix calculation
- `BKE_object_scale_to_mat3` was used to get the worldspace scale,
  without taking constraints, parenting etc into account.
- Don't pass object's into BMesh API, (prefer matrices instead).
- Avoid matrix invert for each edge-angle calculation.
- Avoid 2x matrix multiplies when looping over edge pairs.

0c1934f3c2 Multi-Objects: MESH_OT_select_similar worldspace completion
This makes the operator to work 100% with worldspace similarity:
* SIMFACE_PERIMETER
* SIMFACE_AREA
* SIMEDGE_FACE_ANGLE

Note from revisor (Dalai Felinto):

I'm not sure we want to pass Object * to the bmesh api, though I
personally don't see why not. Either way I group the patches together so
we can more easily roll them back if needs be.
