Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
after pressing the install-button no add-on is visible in the file viewer

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
edit/preferences/add-ons/Add Curve: Extra Objects/v/install/file viewer is empty

it worked for one week, but then it disappeared from the mesh menue and got a exclamation mark in the add-on list. I updated to 2.83.4 today, but it didn't help

The Extra Objects add-ons for objects and curves don't have to be installed, only activated. They are already included in Blender by default.

Please add more details to the error description and the steps you've performed that resulted in an error.
