Please make the Vertex groups feature automatically add the active selection in the 3D viewport window when adding a new group. Highlighting the selection of each group when I click on it, so I can know what area to select without having to enter weight paints mode. Thank you.
Why not use the corresponding operators/buttons for this?
While your proposal might seem like an improvement in some situations, I am not sure if it would be an improvement in every scenario.
In any case, this sounds like a feature request (rather than a bug), which is not handled in this bugtracker.
