I tried to parent multiple objects to vertex (triangle) in object mode and the position of the child objects changed after I did that. However, the issue was solved when I did parenting in edit mode for each object. This issue is not mentioned in the manual. Some say this issue only happens in version 4.2 but not in the older versions.
