On the following page: https://developer.blender.org/docs/handbook/building_blender/windows/
under "Download Sources and Libraries" it should say that the directory must not contain any spaces since make tool does not support them. Finding that out only after having already downloaded the git project can be inconvenient as fixing it requires a rename or re-download which both in some cases may waste lots of user's time considering the lack of just one sentence.
