Hidden Keyframes Are Still Detected When Jumping to the Previous or Next Keyframe #102737

System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19044-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: Intel(R) Iris(R) Plus Graphics Intel 4.5.0 - Build 27.20.100.9664

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.3.1, branch: master, commit date: 2022-10-04 18:35, hash: b292cfe5a9
Worked:

Short description of error
When you hide curves in the Graph Editor via pressing H or Shift H, clicking the visibility icons, or even simpy setting Only Selected Curve Keyframes to True, and Unselected F-Curve Opacity to 0.001 in the Edit Preferences so that you can no longer see other channel's keyframes except for the one you click on, the keyframes are still there according to the Jump to Keyframe action. This makes it rather awkward to use if you're dealing with only one channel at a time, while having hidden keys on the other channels in order to keep things tidy.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Spawn any object in Blender, go to the Graph Editor, add at least 2 keyframes with different spacing for each axis to make it more pronouned, make sure Only Selected Curve Keyframes is set to True, and Unselected F-Curve Opacity is set to 0.001 in Edit > Preferences > Animation, then press the Jump to Keyframe Previous, and Jump to Keyframe Next buttons on the Timeline, or alternativly, use the hotkeys for them.

You can use a default startup file for this. Just be sure to switch the Timeline or Dope Sheet to the Graph Editor.

Related discussions/findings in

  • #34993 ("jump to next keyframe" shortcut not related to the timeline viewable keyframes) / c26105278f
  • #100493 (Inconsistency in the behavior of 'Jump to next/previous keyframe' operator)
  • #100538 (Dopeheet (in the Grease Pencil submodule) take account the transform keys of the GP object wen you press jump to previous/next key frames.)

Since c26105278f actually was supposed to solve this afaict (at least for the Only Selected Curve Keyframes case), will confirm for now.
