Short description of error
Blender crashes when combining a subd modifier and a cloth simulation with a rest shape key.
I guess the expected behavior would be for the cloth simulation to use the specified shape key, with applied modifiers, as the rest shape. However if this combination is not supported, that's probably also fine, but it shouldn't crash blender, but rather prevent this invalid combination somehow.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

@mod_moder : thx for triagig, but classification (setting this to
Bug
instead ofReport
) is for module members https://wiki.blender.org/wiki/Process/A_Bugs_Life(even though it is obviously a bug in this case, it might also help the module to track which reports have actually been looked at).
So I would kindly ask to not change the subtype to bug (even if obvious) in the future.
So this one is caused by

CC @brecht
Yes, sorry about that (indeed, it seemed to me that crash does not require complex classification) (but I will not do this in the future)
