System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.18363-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT ATI Technologies Inc. 4.5.14800 Core Profile Context 22.4.2 30.0.15021.7000
Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.4.1, branch: blender-v3.4-release, commit date: 2022-12-19 17:00, hash:
55485cb379
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)
Short description of error
Whenever I draw with the grease pencil I won't be able to see the line or where I am drawing until I let go of my mouse or off of my drawing tablet.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
All I did was open up Blender, create a new 2D Animation file and started drawing.

@Jeroen-Bakker I cannot reproduce on my Windows, but maybe it's the same bug that you were working on Mac for OpenGL driver.

Same as #99362 (GPencil: Stroke not visible until the release of mouse/pen) / {#102803}?

Hi, thanks for the report. Can you confirm whether above linked reports describes the same issue you're experiencing?
{#102251}?
It is the same as the first one, where the stroke is not visible after you release the mouse/pen.
Under System --> Cycle Render Devices I have HIP enabled with my graphics card. I tried disabling it by selecting None under Cycle Render Devices, but it didn't fix the issue.
I also tried uninstalling Blender and reinstalling it, but the issue is still there.
@Estebamilk can you share screen recording to demonstrate the issue?
Does this only happen when you draw over a reference image?
Changing Cycles render devices won't make any difference unless you're in render preview mode (And Cycles render engine is selected in render properties tab)

Thanks. Does this happen with newer GPU driver?: https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-6000-series/amd-radeon-6600-series/amd-radeon-rx-6600-xt
Could be an another OpenGL issue of AMD drivers? (like #100096, #100034)
Any news?
