Short description of error
Hello!, I have an issue. Whenever I click on Material Properties blender shuts down after a second. I tried to download other versions and reinstall the same version again but it didn't seem to work.
Thank you, Have a nice day.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
1-Open an attached .blend file
2-Click on Material Properties.
Hi this is related to #106278
There is a Blender 3.6 Alpha fix build via @Jeroen-Bakker, which I have tested, and works.
Can you test and confirm if this works for you. Can you also comment on #106278, because this intel driver error is being merged with my ticket. Thanks!
At the moment some users are working with Blender 3.4.1. When enough feedback is confirmed that the issue has gone. It should be in Blender 3.5.1
This is not a final release, only to test if the crash has gone.

One way to identify if it's the same problem is through the logs.
Please open Blender's installation directory and double click on the
blender_debug_gpu.cmd
. This will start Blender in debug mode and create log files.Try to reproduce the error again.
Once it crashes, the Windows Explorer should open and show you up to two files, a debug log and the system information.
Add them to your bug report by clicking on the upload button below or via drag and drop.
Please also upload the crash log located in
C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\Temp\[project name].crash.txt
(or simply type%TEMP%
into the path bar of the Windows Explorer).Hey this is related to Trevor H.
I tested blender 3.4.1(The link that you have sent) and seems like it works properly and no problems at all. But I think this is different from #106278
This is related to Germano Cavalcante.
Hey whenever I reproduced the error my Blender didn't crash. So, I didn't get the Windows Explorer.
Hi @Cherry-2
The Link i sent was a Blender 3.6 Alpha build and not a Blender 3.4.1 build.
The Blender 3.6 Alpha build is not a final release, only to test if the crash has stopped.
Another user was having the same issue as you, ( That's why I commented ) and it was probably related to the issues clicking viewport material and rendered as well. Initially I didn't click the materials tab, but when I tried that too, Blender 3.5 crashed.
Can you comment on #106278 to let @Jeroen-Bakker know that you tried his patch build and you had no crashes. He is looking for user feedback, so that the patch might be in Blender 3.5.1
Sure thing!
Hi @Cherry-2
Sorry to keep messaging!
Is there any chance you can edit your comment on #106278.
Jeroen doesn't have any problems. He is one of the Blender Developers fixing our intel driver issue. The Build you tried, He is the one who created it.
If you could edit that the Build works, and you had no crashes.
The user with your issue is somewhere on my ticket.
Thanks! :)
@Cherry-2
On Dimitrovich-702 picture. The Viewport Material Preview Tab,and Materials Properies Tab are circled.
#106377
This is not clear to me, the report specifically mentions a crash. It doesn't crash anymore?
