Blender 3.5 and 3.5.1 are crashing while using Metal as backend #106900
Operating system: macOS 12.6.3
Graphics card: Radeon Pro 580 8GB
Broken: 3.50, 3.51 (Metall Backend)
Worked: 3.50, 3.51 (OpenGL Backend)
Blender simply hang. I use eevee, if you switch to rendered viewport shading it crashed complete system. I use Metall as backend, if I choose OpenGL it works fine.
I attached an .blend file for example.
Here it freezes Blender, not whole system, but can confirm. Will see if I get some info from debugger.
...debugger did not cooperate...
One additional Info: Choosing OpenGL could act as workaround, but then the grease pencil "bug" #102251 is back again
