Metal GPU Backend
Cycles Render Engine
Viewport Shading: Rendered
Intense flickering (strobo-like effect) of the whole viewport when you move or orbit viewport around the cube.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open Blender.
Edit, Preferences, System, select GPU Backend: Metal, Save Preferences, Close Blender.
Relaunch Blender.
Default cube scene, select Cycles render engine, change Viewport Shading to Rendered.
You get intense flickering (strobo-like effect) of the whole viewport when you move or orbit viewport around the cube.
Please look at the .mov (https://projects.blender.org/attachments/6a7ccbc1-aec6-4094-910f-650a9a95771f).
The actual strobo effect is much more intense than it looks, because the screen capture is only 25FPS.

@iss I hope this fixes it for me as a colateral effect 🤞
#106914
I see that is in main branch. Please check daily build and let us know.
@iss it seems that actually fixed it. No more blinking on 3.6.0

main 04-15-2023Issue persist on latest 3.5.1 blender-v3.5-release daily build though.
I believe not all candidate fixes have been ported back into the 3.5.1 branch just yet, though glad to hear confirmation that the issue does not appear to occur in 3.6.0.
Can post back here once the patch has landed in 3.5.1.
Reporting back:
@Michael-Parkin-White-Apple it seems the patch has landed on 3.5.1

daily build, no more flickering here (on my machine at least).
