System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19044-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 531.68

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.5.1, branch: blender-v3.5-release, commit date: 2023-04-24 18:11, hash: e1ccd9d4a1d3
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

I dont completely know why but blender crashes very often for me.
Its doing something no idea what it is doing.
Sorry for being vague, but it seems to mostly happen when i have the viewport set to cycles render and i am trying to modify materials, in the shader editor.

Hi @JessyBerbers Could you describe what action you are performing right before it crashed? Or if it's just randomly without a pattern?

From the crash log it suggests blender crashed while reading asset files. My suggestion would be try to remove asset folders and run blender, see if it does anything.

Also try running blender with blender -d --debug-all from command line, see if there's any output or other stuff. Or, you could try blender -t 1 and see if it still crashes.

Thanks!

Suspected duplicate of issue #98946 and #106540 , this one is also thrown from nlohmann but no other detailed explanation.

Due to the similarity, @JessyBerbers , could you check if your asset library file/folders/object names contain non-ascii characters?

Thank you for your quick reply, majority of the time my crashes consist of working in the Shader Editor.
And the Library being bad aswell for crashing, it loads on the background or something, and it crashes as soon as it finishes.

Edit: i notice most of the time it crashes the most when i am using Cycles, and i got it set to GPU Compute and Experimental modes.

@JessyBerbers hi, could you verify in recent 3.6.2/4.0 builds?: https://builder.blender.org/download/daily/
Also remove the asset library references, see if that avoids the crash.
