(Ubuntu Snap Store version 4.2.0 LTS/Stable)
Short description of error
A bug that causes Blender to crash the second you click on Measure tool. This may be specific to Wayland and/or using an AMD gpu. I also think it works on almost any previous version of Blender as long as it was using Wayland.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Just start up Blender as it is and immediately click on the Measure Tool on the left. This will also do the same thing on any project you pull up. It can crash trying the keyboard shortcut of the Measure Tool but it takes a few seconds before it happens. Don't click outside of the window. If you click off of the window then click back in the Measure Tool will work like it's suppose to.
There was a bug report (#120465) for something similar a while ago. Apparently it has been fixed in Blender 4.2.1 and newer.
If you would like to give 4.2.1 Release Candidate a try, or 4.3 Alpha, you can download them from here: https://builder.blender.org/download/daily/
Let us know if the issue has been fixed in the newer versions.
Seems like the issue has been fixed. I tried both 4.2.1 RC and 4.3 Alpha. Good to know, thanks!
