%%%Hi
after my School changed the OS from XP to Win7
summons the atio6axx.dll on older PC's an application crash.
I don't know if it's an huge bug but an Workaround would be nice. ^^
Current Testet System:
OS: Win7 Enterprise 64bit
RAM: 2047 MB
CPU: Intel Core2 6400 2.13 GHz
Graphiccard Driver: Radeon X300/X55/X1050 Series
sencerly Jeremias Boos%%%
Changed status to: 'Open'
Changed status from 'Open' to: 'Archived'
%%%This is a crash in the graphics card driver, and likely a bug there. Usually the first thing to try is to install the lastest graphics driver from ATI/AMD to see if the problem is fixed there. But without exact steps to redo the crash and no access to a computer with a similar configuration, this is difficult for us to do anything about.%%%
%%%Normally i would Install the newest driver but I have no admin Rights to install new Driver.
It's not a huge Problem for me because there are only few PC-Rooms with this bug. And in a few weeks there get new Hardware.
By the way i could try to Compile Blender on those PC's but i am not sure if there have Cmake on it.
sencerly Jeremias Boos%%%
%%%Nope there is no Cmake on this PC's.
So i think this bug is at the moment undebugable.%%%
%%%Moved from Blender 2.5 Bug Tracker to OpenGL errors%%%
%%%Ok, thanks for testing. I'll move this to the OpenGL tracker for graphics card issues then.%%%

Checking to see if there was ever a solution to this.. I updated my drivers , rolled them back , and updated again.. Nothing fixed.. it did change at one point from atio6axx.dll causing the issue to ntdll.dll that caused the crash, but now its back to atio. This is very frustrating. I have tried multiple different versions of Blender.. Oh and it was working just fine this just started randomly one day (nothing changed) , but it seems to be effecting not only blender but sketchup as well as nanocad!..

For any other poor souls who end up on this page, I had the same problem and fixed it by downloading the latest driver from the AMD website. Windows update and the "update driver" button in Device Manager did nothing. For what it's worth, I selected the "factory reset" option in the AMD installer, although I doubt it matters.

Hey hey hey, All here who are willing for a easy solution is that just download the atio6axx.dll version 6.4.10.1339 and just copy an paste it in the /c/windows/sytem32 it will work!
I just solved an issue .
Don't forget to make backup of the previous dll file.
