Blender Version
Broken: (2.77)
Worked: (2.76b)

Short description of error
I have had some tdi events when using the rendered view. When testing an f12 render I discovered that rendering is very slow. This file renders in 2.76b with 120 samples in 2:33 same render in 2.77 takes 9:20

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps

open blend and press f12. compare time to earlier version

Cant verify on:

Opensuse Leap 42.1 x86_64
Intel i5 3570K
GTX 760 4 GB /Display card
GTX 670 2 GB
Driver 361.28

Blender 2.77 is even a bit faster on my system.

Thanks for trying to verify. I updated the Nvidia drivers to 364.51 and tested again. This helps a little cause the render time is now 6:28. So that has improved a bit but still much slower than 2.76b

Testing on my my old computer that is also running windows 10 but has a gtx 770 card. Also I did not run the installer on this computer. Instead I downloaded the zip. Render time for this file is 4:57 using 2.76b and 5:03 running 2.77.

So it is still a little slower but not as extreme as my main computer.

Also this computer has been off so it is not current on the windows updates and the driver version 361.43.

Still more testing to go.

Tom, there was bug reports about 60% slowdown on 980Ti/TitanX.

Thanks. From what I see on that thread 2.77 is not liking the titans at all and nothing is going to be done about it.

I do thank you for the help though at least I know I'm not crazy.
