System Information
Operating system: Linux-5.6.15-arch1-1-x86_64-with-glibc2.29 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1660/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 440.82

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.83.0, branch: makepkg (modified), commit date: 2020-06-03 14:38, hash: 211b6c29f7
Worked: version 2.82.0

Short description of error
After update to version 2.83 the denoise Node, in Compositing tab produces only black images.
Tried many scenes, even simple ones. In version 2.82 worked fine.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
After default start, change render Engine to cycles, and
enable denoising data in View Layer Properties.
Then add the denoise node in Compositing tab, connect all of the denoising data, and hit render.

I can confirm this error, happens with 2.90 too, and it seems related with OIDN 1.2 update.

https://github.com/OpenImageDenoise/oidn/issues/76

Since you are on Arch Linux, you could install downgrade and on the terminal execute "downgrade openimagedenoise" and select 1.1

Just a note, from what I have seen, this seems to be an issue that is occurring only with Arch Linux.

Does this still occur if using the official builds?

Seems to be working with the official build from the main website, should have gone with it from the beginning. Thanks for the help.

Glad to see that it is working for you!

Closing as this is an issue with a custom build and not the official build.

The issue is supposed to be fixed in OIDN v1.2.1. Arch builds should therefore be fixed soon as well.
