The weight color looks different in 2.83, almost as if it's not smooth. #77780

Blender Version
Broken: 2.83.0
Worked: 2.81, 2.82

Short description of error
Weight colors look very sharp in 2.83, while in earlier versions colors blend nicely.
Here's how same weight looks in 2.81 and 2.82:

Pre blender 2.83 the colors were blended in display space, in Blender 2.83 the colors are blended in scene linear reference space. If this is the issue, blender 2.83 fixed an color management issue making the display match better, as the colors of the values now behaves linear.

I'm not sure if that's the problem. Here is a comparison I made (2.82a - 2.83):

weight_paint_blend.blend

Although it’s different, I don’t think it’s less informative.

I think that it is better in 2.82. Now it looks like yellow section is much wider than all other values. To me it would say that transition is not linear, while it is. I think this should be color managed, but it would be better if values could be mapped to match human vision.
