Fluid simulation not working after adding domain and flow object #78936

System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.18362-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500 Intel 4.4.0 - Build 20.19.15.4835

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.90.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2020-07-12 09:05, hash: f319eec881
Worked: None

Short description of error
Fluid sim is confusing due to being dependent on sequence of actions in setting up the scene

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
From default cube, add a UV sphere
Click to select the cube
In physics properties, add Fluid. Set Type to Domain, set Domain Type to Liquid
Click UV sphere to select
In physics properties, add Fluid. Set Type to Flow, set Flow Type to Liquid
Switch to Wireframe mode
Press Space to start the animation to run the simulation

Problem: Flow is not included in the simulation. Changing order (setting domain or flow first) resut in same behavior.

Solution: Select Domain object again, in Physics properties, click in Resulution Division field. Press Enter to accept value (32) - unchanged. Simulation is re-initialised, this time including the Flow.

I can confirm that the simulation is not visible immediately. However, for some reason it's also not working when I switch the order around. Are you sure that this is working in the latest version?

I see what you mean - at the latest 2.90 it's not initialising on any now. I originally found the problem in 2.83.2 and it does seem to have the described behaviour there. However, at 2.90 it seems to initialize in neither situation - until you change something in the Domain following the above setup. eg, Clicking on the Resolution Divisions and simply pressing Enter to accept the details - then it creates the fluid particles. When re-testing at 2.90 I must have made an extra click by mistake - sorry for the confusion with that part... so the behaviour is slightly different between 2.83.2 (where it works one way around) and 2.90 (where it doesn't init in either case).
