{F8707108}System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.18362-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 610 Intel 4.5.0 - Build 26.20.100.7263

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.90.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2020-07-18 16:26, hash: b8601b64c7
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error

When I use the graphics engine workbench> Material properties> View port Display.
I choose a dark color to use as a transparency mask when the alpha value is: 1,000. It correctly displays the preview but when I just changed the example value 0.990 the render shows as if the value was the minimum. And when lowering the value to 0.000 the mask should be totally transparent but the render shows me as if it had a value between 0.300 to 0.500

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

I'm encountering the same issue in Blender 2.83.1 and Blender 2.91. It looks like the alpha clip is working properly, so the transparent rendering path is only used if the alpha is less than 1. However, it looks like the alpha is inverted when rendering (but not when using the viewport in render mode.)

Viewport (correct behavior):

Render result (incorrect behavior):

Reproduction file:

OS: Windows 10 2004
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: nVidia RTX 2070S
Blender: 2.83.1 and 2.91 (buildbot a1f54be042)
