Doesn't crash for me anymore with Blender 4.1.
I don't see this darkening anymore with Blender 4.1.
The artifacts are not visible for me in Blender 4.1 anymore with HIP (CPU+GPU).
I don't see banding anymore (though the HDR is missing in the file, checked with another one). Likely fixed by the changes to Multiscatter GGX in 4.0.
I don't see the second shadow anymore in Blender 4.1.
It looks much better in Blender 4.1, but there is still a small pink line.
@LukasStockner Hey, can you please take a look? The render looks different in Blender 4.1, the entire surface is black. Would be good to know if this is a valid bug or the result is expected.
This issue is still present (Blender 4.1), but only with our own BVH2 implementation. Using Embree doesn't show the artifacts.
I cannot reproduce this anymore with Blender 4.1, Cycles view port renders the 4 samples (or more if set).
This issue is resolved and I cannot reproduce it anymore with Blender 4.1 and both CPU and GPU (HIP) rendering.
The issue is difficult to reproduce anymore, since the OSL and SVM looks completely different in Blender 4.1 Beta. There is still a noticeable noise difference in the area of the tree though.
