65ec7ec524 Cleanup: remove redundant, invalid info from headers
BF-admins agree to remove header information that isn't useful,
to reduce noise.

- BEGIN/END license blocks

Developers should add non license comments as separate comment blocks.
  No need for separator text.

- Contributors

This is often invalid, outdated or misleading
  especially when splitting files.

It's more useful to git-blame to find out who has developed the code.

See P901 for script to perform these edits.

ec051f5103 Fix/workaround T51070: Cannot scale procedural texture in compositor
The issue is coming from some weird semi-finished canvas feature, which
was remapping coordinate without applying any differential on the sampling
ellipse (in fact, there is no ellipse, sampling think is always a single
pixel).

The whole thing is just weak in the compositor, for now just bring behavior
back to how it was prior to optimization (multithreading) commit.

8c113a95e3 Make texture node threaded
Quite trivial idea -- just pass tread ID to the texture sampling function.

Implemented as a TLS to avoid passing huge amount of extra contexts around.
Should be working on all platforms, but compilation test is required.

d9c77a490c Fix T43427: Particle system children sometimes not generated on reload
The issue was caused by the conflict between preview render which would set
R_NO_IMAGE_LOAD flag on the renderer and texture samplers called outside of
the render pipeline trying to use this flag.

Now the sampler functions accepts extra argument so render pipeline can
still skip image load, but calls outside of the pipeline will nicely load
all the images.

Not cleanest change in the world but good enough to unlock gooseberry team,
and assuming we already had pool passed all over the place it should be all
fine.

Will need to reshuffle arguments into SamplerOptions structure later.

35d3b6316b D627: Memory usage optimization for the compositor.
The compostor used a fixed size of 4 floats to hold pixel data. this
patch will select size of a pixel based on its type.
It uses 1 float for Value, 3 float for vector and 4 floats for color
data types.

When benchmarking on shots (opening shot of caminandes) we get a
reduction of memory of 30% and a tiny speedup as less data
transformations needs to take place (but these are negligable.

09874df135 Structural cleanup and improvements for the compositor.
Many parts of the compositor are unnecessarily complicated. This patch
aims at reducing the complexity of writing nodes and making the code
more transparent.

== Separating Nodes and Operations ==

Currently these are both mixed in the same graph, even though they have
very different purposes and are used at distinct stages in the
compositing process. The patch introduces dedicated graph classes for
nodes and for operations.

This removes the need for a lot of special case checks (isOperation etc.)
and explicit type casts. It simplifies the code since it becomes clear
at every stage what type of node we are dealing with. The compiler can
use static typing to avoid common bugs from mixing up these types and
fewer runtime sanity checks are needed.

== Simplified Node Conversion ==

Converting nodes to operations was previously based on "relinking", i.e.
nodes would start with by mirroring links in the Blender DNA node trees,
then add operations and redirect these links to them. This was very hard
to follow in many cases and required a lot of attention to avoid invalid
states.

Now there is a helper class called the NodeConverter, which is passed to
nodes and implements a much simpler API for this process. Nodes can add
operations and explicit connections as before, but defining "external"
links to the inputs/outputs of the original node now uses mapping
instead of directly modifying link data. Input data (node graph) and
result (operations graph) are cleanly separated.

== Removed Redundant Data Structures ==

A few redundant data structures have been removed, notably the
SocketConnection. These are only needed temporarily during graph
construction. For executing the compositor operations it is perfectly
sufficient to store only the direct input link pointers. A common
pointer indirection is avoided this way (which might also give a little
performance improvement).

== Avoid virtual recursive functions ==

Recursive virtual functions are evil. They are very hard to follow
during debugging. At least in the parts this patch is concerned with
these functions have been replaced by a non-virtual recursive core
function (which might then call virtual non-recursive functions if
needed). See for example NodeOperationBuilder::group_operations.

c566e408e4 Cleanup: Renamed compositor executePixel functions and their 'read' wrappers in SocketReader.
Distinguish the 3 different methods for acquiring pixel color values (executePixel, executePixelSampled, executePixelFiltered).
This makes it easier to keep track of the different sampling methods (and works nicer with IDEs that do code parsing).

1dd7156c4c Fix #36058: Displace Modifier errors using a baked Image and displace baking inconsistency between 2.67/2.68RC and previous versions
This was in fact really nasty bug, caused by multitex_nodes
function using global variable R (which is a copy of current
renderer). this variable is not initialized to anything
meaningful for until first rendering (preview or final)
happened.

Since multitex_nodes might be used outside of render pipeline,
made it so whether CM is on or off as an argument to functions
multitex_ext_safe and multitex_ext. Now multitex_nodes() is
only shall be used for stuff happening from render pipeline!

Also needed to make some changes to other places, so all the
usages of texture sampling knows for the fact whether CM is
on or off.

And one more change is related on behavior of dispalcement,
wave, warp, weightvg modifiers and smoke. They'll be always
using CM off since texture is used for influence, not for
color.

It's rather bigger patch, but it's mostly straightforward
changes, which we really need to be done.

86991fbcb0 Fixed render time regression in Blender Internal
It was caused by image threading safe commit and it was noticeable
only on really multi-core CPU (like dual-socket Xeon stations), was
not visible on core i7 machine.

The reason of slowdown was spinlock around image buffer referencing,
which lead to lots of cores waiting for single core and using image
buffer after it was referenced was not so much longer than doing
reference itself.

The most clear solution here seemed to be introducing Image Pool
which will contain list of loaded and referenced image buffers, so
all threads could skip lock if the pool is used for reading only.
Lock only needed in cases when buffer for requested image user is
missing in the pool. This lock will happen only once per image so
overall amount of locks is much less that it was before.

To operate with pool:
- BKE_image_pool_new() creates new pool
- BKE_image_pool_free() destroys pool and dereferences all image
buffers which were loaded to it
- BKE_image_pool_acquire_ibuf() returns image buffer for given
image and user. Pool could be NULL and in this case fallback to
  BKE_image_acquire_ibuf will happen.

This helps to avoid lots to if(poll) checks in image sampling
  code.

- BKE_image_pool_release_ibuf releases image buffer. In fact, it
will only do something if pool is NULL, in all other case it'll
  equal to DoNothing operation.
