- Simplify `poll_propety`. Only the "use_snap_project" is not hidden.

If that's the case, there doesn't seem to be any need to display them in the redo panel. Therefore:
- Hide snapping properties in redo panel.

Many properties have been added that can be independent of ToolSettings. Therefore:
- Save snapping properties in the operator itself. For Redo.

The newly exposed options are:

- `use_snap_self`, `use_snap_edit`, `use_snap_nonedit`,
  `use_snap_selectable_only` for controlling target selection.
- `use_snap_project` for controlling Face Raycast snapping.
- `use_snap_to_same_target` and `snap_face_nearest_steps` for

3772dda4ab Refactor: Snap-related. Clarified attribute names and refactored #defines into enums
The transformation snapping code contains a bunch of `#define`s, some ambiguously or incorrectly named attributes. This patch contains refactored code to improve this. This patch does (should) not change functionality of snapping.

Clarified ambiguously / incorrectly named attributes.

  - "Target" is used to refer to the part of the source that is to be snapped (Active, Median, Center, Closest), but several other areas of Blender use the term "target" to refer to the thing being snapped to and "source" to refer to the thing getting snapped. Moreover, the implications of the previous terms do not match the descriptions. For example: `SCE_SNAP_TARGET_CENTER` does not snap the grabbed geometry to the center of the target, but instead "Snap transforamtion center onto target".
  - "Select" refers to the condition for an object to be a possible target for snapping.
  - `SCE_SNAP_MODE_FACE` is renamed to `SCE_SNAP_MODE_FACE_RAYCAST` to better describe its affect and to make way for other face snapping methods (ex: nearest).

Refactored related `#define` into `enum`s. In particular, constants relating to...

  - `ToolSettings.snap_flag` are now in `enum eSnapFlag`
  - `ToolSettings.snap_mode` are now in `enum eSnapMode`
  - `ToolSettings.snap_source` (was `snap_target`) are now in `enum eSnapSourceSelect`
  - `ToolSettings.snap_flag` (`SCE_SNAP_NO_SELF`) and `TransSnap.target_select` are now in `enum eSnapTargetSelect`

As the terms became more consistent and the constants were packed together into meaningful enumerations, some of the attribute names seemed ambiguous. For example, it is unclear whether `SnapObjectParams.snap_select` referred to the target or the source. This patch also adds a small amount of clarity.

This patch also swaps out generic types (ex: `char`, `short`, `ushort`) and unclear hard coded numbers (ex: `0`) used with snap-related enumerations with the actual `enum`s and values.

Note: I did leave myself some comments to follow-up with further refactoring. Specifically, using "target" and "source" consistently will mean the Python API will need to change (ex: `ToolSettings.snap_target` is not `ToolSettings.snap_source`). If the API is going to change, it would be good to make sure that the used terms are descriptive enough. For example, `bpy.ops.transform.translate` uses a `snap` argument to determine if snapping should be enabled while transforming. Perhaps `use_snap` might be an improvement that's more consistent with other conventions.

This patch is (mostly) a subset of D14591, as suggested by @mano-wii.

Task T69342 proposes to separate the `Absolute Grid Snap` option out from `Increment` snapping method into its own method. Also, there might be reason to create additional snapping methods or options. (Indeed, D14591 heads in this direction). This patch can work along with these suggestions, as this patch is trying to clarify the snapping code and to prompt more work in this area.

cc0c4c17f0 Fix T95752: crash 'Select Linked' after loopcut in multiobject editmode
This was reported explicitly for originally being in face selectmode,
but could also crash when in vertex selectmode (when doing multiple
cuts).

The reason here is that `MESH_OT_loopcut` switches to edge select mode
(needed for `TRANSFORM_OT_edge_slide`, done in `ringsel_finish`), but was
only doing this on the active object's editmesh, all other participating
meshes would keep their selectmode which would now be out of sync with
both the active object's editmesh and scene settings for these.

This causes problems later in 'Select Linked'. Here, a mixture of
objects are used. First the viewcontext is set up with the active
object, then all participating objects are iterated (changing the
viewcontext to another object), then `unified_findnearest` would use that
changed viewcontext which would now contain the last object iterated. To
repeat: this could now have a different selectmode than the active
object which is later **again** used to get the nearest `BMElem` from in
`EDBM_elem_from_selectmode`. So in the failing case, we could get an
edge (but no face because of edge selectmode) from `unified_findnearest`,
`EDBM_elem_from_selectmode` would return NULL though (edge provided, but
in face selectmode), leading to the crash.

To solve this I assume it is best to change selectmode on all
participating meshes in multi-object editmode loopcut if necessary so
these are always in sync for following operations.
Alternatively, `Select Linked` (and probably lots more operators) would
have to be tweaked to pay closer attention which object is really used
to get selectmode from.

Note the selectmode is actually set back from edge selectmode in certain
cases (see `USE_LOOPSLIDE_HACK`), this patch changes that as well to act
on all participating meshes.

4425e0cd64 Subdivision: add support for vertex creasing
This adds vertex creasing support for OpenSubDiv for modeling, rendering,
Alembic and USD I/O.

For modeling, vertex creasing follows the edge creasing implementation with an
operator accessible through the Vertex menu in Edit Mode, and some parameter in
the properties panel. The option in the Subsurf and Multires to use edge
creasing also affects vertex creasing.

The vertex crease data is stored as a CustomData layer, unlike edge creases
which for now are stored in `MEdge`, but will in the future also be moved to
a `CustomData` layer. See comments for details on the difference in behavior
for the `CD_CREASE` layer between egdes and vertices.

For Cycles this adds sockets on the Mesh node to hold data about which vertices
are creased (one socket for the indices, one for the weigths).

Viewport rendering of vertex creasing reuses the same color scheme as for edges
and creased vertices are drawn bigger than uncreased vertices.

For Alembic and USD, vertex crease support follows the edge crease
implementation, they are always read, but only exported if a `Subsurf` modifier
is present on the Mesh.

1d1855e95f Allow navigating while transforming
This feature has been desired for some time:
- https://rightclickselect.com/p/ui/Tqbbbc/allow-navigating-while-transforming (See comments);
- D1583;
- T37427;

In short, blocking navigation during transform limits the user to move the object only to visible areas within the screen and hinders the allocation of objects within closed meshes.

The node editor is also impaired because some nodes are far between them and the connectors are too small.

The only disadvantage of this patch (as I see it) is the conflict with the existing key map:
MIDDLEMOUSE:
- enable axis constrain in 3D view;

WHEELDOWNMOUSE, WHEELUPMOUSE, PAGEUPKEY, PAGEDOWNKEY:
- change the threshold of the proportional edit;

So the patch solution was to change these keymaps:
- MIDDLEMOUSE to Alt+MIDDLEMOUSE;
- WHEELDOWNMOUSE, WHEELUPMOUSE, PAGEUPKEY, PAGEDOWNKEY to Alt+(corresponding key);

When you use this new keymap for the first time in the proportional edit, it may seem strange due to the custom of using it (both in View2D and View3D).
But quickly the user gets used to it.

Alternatively we can add an option to the user preferences ([] Allow navigating while transforming). (I'm not much fan of this option).

The patch was done on branch2.8. But maybe it's a good idea to apply it to 2.79

482806c816 VSE: Implement the bounding box (xform) tool in the seq preview window

Because of the amount of hacks needed to make the gizmo work nicely with

This is because the transforms with multiple strips would appear buggy
because of our lack of shearing support in the transform system.
There is also currently no way to properly sync the gizmo drawing with

19da434e9c Nodes: Improvements to edge panning in the node editor.
- New operator property to toggle edge panning in the keymap:
This is disabled by default to avoid edge-panning in cases where it
gets distracting, such as adding a new node. Only the explicit
translate operator(s) (GKEY or drag) have this enabled now.

- Restore the initial view rect on edge pan cancel:
The initial view rect is now stored in the edge pan operator data.
When an operator with edge panning is cancelled it can now call the
`UI_view2d_edge_pan_cancel` function to restore the original View2D
  rect.

- Less delay in node editor scrolling:
Delay is useful when scrolling through long lists, such as in the
outliner, but makes node scrolling feel sluggish and unresponsive.
The lower scroll speed here makes a faster response the better option.

- Zoom influence feature:
Somewhat slower scrolling in UI-space when zoomed out. With the 0.5
zoom influence factor nodes behave as if zoom factor is halved,
otherwise it gets too fast when zoomed out. Previously scrolling would
always be constant-speed in UI space, now it's half-way between UI
  space and node (view) space.

a1cc7042a7 Edge-scrolling for node editor
Starts scrolling when dragging a node or node link and going outside the current window.
Largely copied from the VIEW2D_OT_edge_pan operator.

Edge panning operator customdata and supporting functions now in
UI_view2d.h, so they could be used by operators in other editor
libraries. The VIEW2D_OT_edge_pan operator also uses this customdata and
shared functions now. Operators properties can be used to configure
edge panning margins and speed for each use case, rather than using
hardcoded values.

The speed function for edge panning has been tweaked somewhat:
* "Speed per pixel" has been replaced with a "speed ramp" distance.
This is more intuitive and also creates an upper bound for the speed,
which can otherwise become extreme with large cursor distance.
* "Max speed" is reached at the end of the speed ramp.
* Padding the region inside and outside is applied as before, but both
  values are operator properties now.

Node transform operator also supports edge panning. This requires
an offset for changes in the view2d rect, otherwise nodes are "stuck"
to the original view.

Transform operator had cursor wrapping categorically enabled, but this
gets quite confusing with the edge scrolling mechanism. A new TransInfo
option T_NO_CURSOR_WRAP has been introduced to disable this behavior.
The double negative is a bit annoying, but want to avoid affecting the
existing transform modes, so by default it should still set the
OP_IS_MODAL_GRAB_CURSOR flag (which then sets the WM_CURSOR_WRAP_XY
flag during modal execution).

46aa70cb48 UI: Avoid unnecessary redraws of unrelated editors on space changes
When adding a notifier, `reference` data can be passed. The notifier system
uses this to filter out listeners, for example if data of a scene changes,
windows showing a different scene won't get the notifiers sent to their
listeners.

For the `NC_SPACE` notifiers, a number of places also passed the space as
`reference`, but that wasn't used at all. The notifier would still be sent to
all listeners in all windows (and the listeners didn't use it either). Causing
some unnecessary updates (e.g. see ed2c4825d3).
With this commit, passing a space will make sure the notifier is only sent to
that exact space. Some code seems to already have expected that to be the case.

However there were some cases that passed the space as `reference` without
reason, which would break with this commit (meaning they wouldn't redraw or
update correctly).
Corrected these so they don't pass the space anymore.

ec39d8de4a Transform: Correct Mirror for Object Mode along arbitrary axis
This fixes T68521, T82334.

The object are not properly mirrored in object mode.

For mirroring an object that has an arbitrary rotation along the X axis
this is the procedure:
1. mirror x location.
2. negate x scale of the
3. negate y and z component of the rotation (independent of which rotation mode is used).

This knowledge applies now for all angles and axes to finally make the
mirror operation work in object mode.

The new mirror function has the downside that it can not (in this form)
be used with proportional editing.

This is no problem since the old behavior can still be replicated by
scaling with -1 along any axis.

The solution to get perfect mirrors can not work for scaling in general,
because in that case there could be scew created.
