The abbreviation 'init' is brief, unambiguous and already used
in thousands of places, also initialize is often accidentally
written with British spelling.
Simply remove that check ob userdef's themes, we are never read any
userdef from startup file anymore, so this check makes no more sense.
To be backported to 2.83.
Previously if a modal operator is active, which might leave Blender in a state
where it's not safe to autosave, it would try again in 10s. Now try again in
10ms so it's much less likely to be missed, since overhead of such a timer is
negligble anyway.
Also remove the debug print that was added to investigate a bug at some point.
This removes G_FILE_HISTORY, G_FILE_SAVE_COPY & G_FILE_USERPREFS.
Using file-flags made logic harder to follow since it's not so clear
which flags are expected to be in G.fileflags & which are meant to be
set and passed as arguments, these are shared between read & write
functions too.
Add BlendFileWriteParams so options which don't need to be stored
aren't mixed up with flags that are stored for reuse.
When "Relative Remap" option was added, the intention was only to remap
paths that were already relative. However it remapped all paths.
This was reported as T62612 and fixed recently,
however some Python script authors depended on the old behavior.
For users, it's reasonable to use the existing operators to make paths
absolute/relative. For scripts however it's useful to be able to write
out individual data-blocks with the ability to make all paths relative.
Now `bpy.data.libraries.write()` takes a path_remap argument which can
be `NONE/RELATIVE/RELATIVE_ALL/ABSOLUTE` allowing the script author to
choose how paths are handled when writing out data-blocks.

Remove resetting of ID uuid session counter, it is not really needed
anymore, and not trivial to do this properly everytime.
Thanks @brecht for investigating this.
It was sometimes set before reading preferences, now it's passed to GHOST every
time preferences are read.

Resolves the following issues:
- For the first time you save a .blend file, there was no feedback.
- If the file fails to save (eg "No space left on device") the status
bar message replaces the error with an invalid "Saved" message.
While there is a popup, the user may cancel it with mouse motion
and be left with the status bar message saying the file saved.

Note this only changes cases where the variable was declared inside
the for loop. To handle it outside as well is a different challenge.

Now the area and region naming conventions should be less confusing.
Mostly a careful batch rename but had to do few smaller fixes.
Also ran clang-format on affected files.
The old convention was easy to confuse with ScrArea.

This is mostly a batch rename with some manual fixing. Only single word
variable names are changed, no prefixed/suffixed names.
Brecht van Lommel and Campbell Barton both gave me a green light for
this convention change.
Also ran clan clang format on affected files.

There's a chance that this causes some issues becaue in some cases we
change from getting the window from context to getting it from somewhere
else.
Motivation the functions get 3 different kind of flag parameters (ImBuf,
DrawType, OffscreenRendering) the naming of the flags were not clear,
leading to mistakes and unnecessary time spend debugging.
"session-wise" here mean while editing a same .blend file. So creating
or opening a new one will reset the uuid counter. This should avoid any
overflow in practice.
Only IDs added to Main database get an uuid, runtime-only ones are not
affected.
This is intended to provide undo with a way to find IDs across several
'memory realms' (undo speedup project).
No behavior change is expected from this commit itself.

- Remove the only_render arg from ED_editors_flush_edits
was only used in one place, the '_ex' version can be used instead.
- Split out the single object version of this function as currently
flushing is being done in-line, often only accounting for edit-mode,
ignoring sculpt mode for e.g.
Multisample buffers were used for smooth line drawing. As we now have
an algorithm that doesn't need the multisample buffers we can remove
them.
The user preference for viewport multi_sampling is replaced by single
toggle overlay `use_overlay_smooth_wire`. By default this setting is
enabled as the new drawing is really quick (<1ms) and uses zero hacks.

Pablo and William agreed that the main purpose of the layout should be
to list files in a way that it's easy see which files were
created/modified when. Previously it was set to "Long List" to show the
modification time, now the vertical list is much better suited. The time
is shown anyway.
Support per-viewport collection visibility options.
Note 1: There is no way to show a collection that was not visible before
due to depsgraph. Otherwise we would risk having all the collections in
the depsgraph and I believe this is not the idea.
An alternative would be to have a new depsgraph for viewports that are
not local. Something to keep in mind if we do per-viewport current frame
in the future.
So for now what we do is to only allow collections visibility to be
disabled/hidden in this mode.
Note 2: hide_viewport (the eye icon) doesn't really matter for
depsgraph. So after the merge we can still ignore it to show the
collections locally in a viewport with no problems for the depsgraph.

Before this the timer API was relying on using a callback API to do
initialization when new file is loaded. This isn't how rest of Blender
works and it gets in a way because callbacks API is to be move to the
BKE level.
Use explicit call to timer API from where the file is loaded.
