To make it easier for animators working in a multipass pose-to-pose workflow
when inserting breakdown keyframes and so forth, it is now possible to specify
the "type" of keyframe being created (i.e. the colour of the keyframe, when drawn
in the Dope Sheet).
Usage:
1) Choose the type of keyframe ("Keyframe", "Breakdown", "Extreme", etc.) from
the new dropdown located between the AutoKeying and KeyingSet widgets on the
timeline header.
2) Insert keyframes
3) Rejoyce that your newly created keyframes have now been coloured for you already
in the DopeSheet.
Todo:
* Look into a way of using the actual keyframe colours (from the theme) for the icons
of these types.
Basically it's a clean keyframes tool, but also removes a channel if the
only remaining keyframe has the default value only and is not used by
drivers or generative modifiers.
It's was used to help with performance of keyframe-heavy scenes in
gooseberry.
Note, as always the curve left after the clean tool is used is not the
same as the original, so this tool is better used before doing custom
editing of fcurves and after initial keyframe insertion, to get rid
of any unwanted keyframes inserted while doing mass keyframe insertion
(by selecting all bones and pressing I for instance)
and graph editor.
This was a tricky commit that was not so straightforward to make work.
The information for bones is not easy to come by in the animation curves,
however we do have some string manipulation tricks to make it happen.
Testing in gooseberry worked for the rigs there, commiting to master now
Added an extra option to `insert_bezt_fcurve()`, to allow full override of existing
keyframes when pasting (in this case, we do not want to inherit handles from existing
curve!).
This makes a number of operators no longer ask for confirmation, rather it will
show an info message after performing the operation. Ref T37422 for decision. In
particular, these were changed:
* Delete objects, bones, keyframes, masks, mask curves, motion tracks, markers.
* Clear and delete keyframes in the 3D view.
* Align bone to parents.
* Separate bones from armature.
* Group/ungroup metastrips in sequencer.
* Copy/paste objects to/from buffer.

Colors used by Bone Groups are now copied/assigned to Action Groups too when
they're created now. This completes the work started in r.46960 to restore this
functionality from 2.48.
Currently, there is no control over when/whether these colors are copied over
(although it is possible to disable the display of these colors for relevant
animation editors if desired). Originally I was going to make this a more
generic Keying Sets feature, though that turned out to be a bit too complex to
manage.
Other notes:
* Split out the code for copying colors to a common library function
Improved error messages presented when trying to paste keyframes.
Previously, "No keyframes to paste" would always be displayed, even if
the copy/paste buffer had some contents but couldn't be pasted if
there weren't any F-Curves selected to paste to.
Causing a flurry of refresh file prompts post-commit,
Confusing local diffs and causing merge conflicts,
Stating the obvious; redundant and useless...

There won't be dangling "empty" actions left behind anymore in the
DopeSheet channel list after you've deleted all their keyframes (and
don't want to add keyframes to them anymore).
Of course, this poses problems with more actions getting created if
you then go and keyframe those objects again. If this does turn out to
be an equally bad problem, then another approach from the channel
filtering code side (probably aided by the restructed code) will help
(though doesn't solve the problem where people complain of having
heaps of "empty" actions dangling from objects they no longer want
animated).
