This adds MULTICAM-editing support for blender. (Well, the beginning of.)
There is now a new effect track, named MULTICAM, which just selects
one of the lower tracks.
Doesn't sound that exciting, but if you combine this with A/B-Trim (moving
split points of two directly connected tracks around, while magically
resizing both strips, something to be added), you just do:
* add several tracks for your camera angles
* (optionally) sync those tracks
* add one multicam track on top
Use that multicam-track to edit your movie. (Either using fcurves on the
multicam source selector or using knife-tool and A/B-Trim.)
Compare that to:
* add several tracks
* add cross fades between them
* do some python scripting to add several fcurves to make that beast
somewhat work.
* cry out loud, using it, if you have to move cut points around
Alternatively, even harder:
* just edit the old way and put strip after strip
You might think, that this isn't really helpfull for animators, but
consider using scene-strips (in OpenGL-mode) for input, that are set for
different camera angles and can now be intercut a lot more easily...
Also: small fix on the way: the speed effect can now be used in cascade.
(Don't know, if anyone used it that way, but now it works.)
Only source/blender/editors/ dir, should not give errors on different platforms
Only removing: UI_*.h, ED_*.h, WM_*.h, DNA_*.h, IMB_*.h, RNA_*.h, PIL_*.h
- recode of the whole sequencer audio handling
- encode audio flag removed, instead you choose None as audio codec, added None for video codec too
- ffmpeg formats/codecs: enabled: theora, ogg, vorbis; added: matroska, flac (not working, who can fix?), mp3, wav
- sequencer wave drawing
- volume animation (now also working when mixing down to a file!)
- made sequencer strip position and length values unanimatable
* Zoom and Pan should work now (thanks Aligorith for reviewing)
* mostly removed ancient drawing code
* Fit preview in Window still has issue, HOME key in preview area should be working though
Now it's a bit more robust, tagging images with profiles when they're loaded,
which then get interpreted later on by conversion functions. Just Linear RGB
and sRGB profiles at the moment, same as before.
This commit fixes Martin's problem with EXRs and Multilayer images loading/
saving too dark, and it also makes the sequence editor work correctly with it too.
Also fixes:
[#19647] gamma correction with color management is reset when resetting Curve
[#19454] 2.5: Dither does not work when Color management is enabled
these expose the final start and end after offsets are applied. when set this is like grabbing the handle and moving it.
* made swapping strips shuffle effects and check for overlap.
- Started cleaning up the sequencer drawing code by firstly decoupling the different draw modes from each other (i.e. timeline view doesn't call image view).
- Also separated out a few distinct few phases in sequencer-timeline drawing into different functions instead of being lumped in the single one. Recoded part of this to make it less ugly too...
- Made markers get drawn again in the sequencer timeline view
only implimented min/max precision & step.
at the moment there is no way to edit these other then via python
example of setting UI limits...
>>> C.object['foo'] = 0.5
>>> C.object['_RNA_UI'] = {'foo': {'step': 0.5, 'soft_max': 10.0, 'soft_min': 0.0, 'precision': 2, 'description': 'Some setting'}}
Also fixed typo's: precission -> precision
* Snapping strips now works with the hotkey Shift-S as in the rest of Blender
* Preview Range works in Sequencer now (the operators for setting, clearing, and also drawing)
* Related to the Preview Range for Sequencer, toggling the time-display mode also works
* Preview Range Set operator now works again, after the modal keymaps change for borderselect broke it. Also sends correct notifiers now after bein called.
- more api like functions for adding movie, sound & images (easier to use from pyrna api)
- operators share more settings
- renamed get_last_seq() to active_seq_get() - same for set.
* Convert all code to use new functions.
* Branch maintainers may want to skip this commit, and run this
conversion script instead, if they use a lot of math functions
in new code:

svn merge https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/trunk/blender -r19820:HEAD
Notes:
* Game and sequencer RNA, and sequencer header are now out of date
a bit after changes in trunk.
* I didn't know how to port these bugfixes, most likely they are
not needed anymore.
* Fix "duplicate strip" always increase the user count for ipo.
* IPO pinning on sequencer strips was lost during Undo.
- Fix: text draw in fonts was slightly too low; it didn't calculate offset
correctly. Now it is aligned to have number characters in center.
- Fix: text clip was too wide, giving errors on extreme zoom in.
- Added boundbox-clipped default text drawing for view2d:
void UI_view2d_text_cache_rectf(View2D *v2d, rctf *rect, char *str)
(Note; also for previous commit, this cache immediately projects, so if
you change view2d while drawing, text is still on correct positions)
Added support for cached text drawing in View2D. Cache is needed to
prevent the viewmatrix being set/restored on each text drawing.
Adding a string:
void UI_view2d_text_cache_add(View2D *v2d, float x, float y, char *str)
Drawing:
void UI_view2d_text_cache_draw(ARegion *ar)
Nothing else needed; just make sure cache-draw is always called at end
of a view2d drawing function, to clear cache memory.
On todo for next: a version with a rectf boundary to clip text within.
1) Remove WITH_FREETYPE2 from code, so now blender always need freetype2
2) Remove the old bmfont
3) Remove ftfont and bFTGL library
4) Implement a new BLF_draw_default function for place that still need/use
the old BMF api.
I try to update both, scons and cmake, but I only can test with make, so
hope all work fine.
MSVC is broken, but I don't have Windows, things to search and fix are
any reference to WITH_FREETYPE2, FTGL and BMFONT (take in care that
blenkernel also have a BKE_bmfont.h, this don't have anything to do with bmfont).
Always have to link/include the freetype2 library
Remove any reference to libbmfont
Remove any reference to libftfont
Remove any reference to libbftgl (or libbFTGL)
* sequencer transform now does overlap checks.
* removed old transform functions from sequencer_edit.c
* shuffle_seq moved to kernel, now moves strips to the end of the last sequence of itschannel (if all channels are used). 2.4x would remove the strip.
* most of the 'Strip' menu items now call their operators in the header menu, some for view and select too.
* View2D to region now returns ints instead of shorts.
* Use "Numpad" instead of "Pad" in automatic keymap menu info.
* Menus can now use buttons other than BUTM and SEPR, in
particular TOG and ROW are now supported instead of flipping
bits manually.
* Added a simpler uiDefMenu* api for making menus now, and it
only supports Operator and RNA buttons at the moment, will be
used in next commit. Not sure how this will evolve .. makes
menu code look cleaner anyways.
* Ensure that interface code doesn't crash when getting unknown
Operators and RNA properties, and display their buttons grayed
out in that case.
GPencil code back!
Joshua will probably take this further. I've added XXX notes
where fixes are required. Also note that ED_gpencil.h has
all old exports, which is probably not needed, most can go
to gpencil_intern.h
Also added Makefile fixes for sculpt
12k lines of sequencer back! Only seqaudio.c skipped for now.
Notes:
- it only draws now, nothing refreshes or edits.
- fixed bug in view2d.c with vertical grid step being 0.0f
- render code and fileselect code is #ifdeffed out
- sequence evaluation code moved to blenkernel, so it can
be used for render without bad level calls
General note; sequencer code is very untidy, mixing styles too
much. Tried to clean it some, but it would be nice if formatting
is kept consistant from now on.
